His mum always thinks that he will become a cook but he ends up flying an airplane. Having spent most of his entire life in the United States , he decides to leave the country and starts teaching airline pilot trainee in Malaysia . Due to his passion in cooking and also a part of his retiree plan, he decided to get involved in a restaurant business.

Educated in the United States , he had many opportunities to try many varieties and styles of restaurants. Having an opportunity to stay in Washington DC and also Minneapolis , he found himself surrounded by myriads of restaurants that offer food from Cuban to Japanese. Not to mention Malaysian restaurants. However, he could not find the real authentic Malay food that should be served by those Malaysian restaurants. Thus, he started dreaming of opening a nice restaurant that can tell the American what real Malay food is. Due to several reasons, he had to return to Malaysia but he still carries his dream. Then, with a strong partnership with Cliff, he finally made his way to live his dream of having a nice restaurant.
